MDAA Treasurer

Michelle Shaltry R.D.A.

Michelle earned her Dental Assisting Associate Degree from Delta College in 2006. She is employed with Dr. John M Harasin DDS in Saginaw and has been a member of ADAA for 2 years.

Her family includes husband Patrick, son Alexander, 10, stepdaughters Sara, 15, Emily 13, and Jennifer and her husband Rich, along with adopted daughter Gloria, 17. Gloria has a daughter Amarijah who will be 1 in August 2008. WHEW!!

Michelle and Patrick's household is very busy; there are five children in their home at the moment. She feels that being active in state and local dental assisting societies is a good example for her children. She is able to show them how to juggle home, work, and extras. Although a newer member to dental assisting and the MDAA, hard work is not new to her. She will be diligent and productive in her new position as MDAA Treasurer.

Her vision for dental assistants "is the same vision that I have for myself. To grow, learn, and teach others!"
