MDAA Scholarship

The Michigan Dental Assistants
Association is pleased to notify you of an established scholarship award to
eligible students.
Eligibility may be any one
of the following:
-
those students established in
a dental assisting program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
of American Dental Association
- those students established in an education program
which meets the Registered Dental Assistant expanded functions of the Michigan
Board of Dentistry
- those students who are a Certified (CDA) or Registered
Dental Assistant (R.D.A.) established in an educational program in pursuits
of a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree.
Administration:
- Scholarships can be awarded any time during the
fiscal year.
- Scholarships amounts will be determined by the
Scholarship Committees recommendation with the MDAA Board of Director's approval.
- Scholarships will be funded from the General
Fund and be determined each year as a line item in the budget.
- Other monies, i.e. Donations, fund raising, etc.,
specified for scholarships, shall be awarded the year received, if possible.
- An announcement of the MDAA Scholarship recipients
shall be published in the "Matrix" on MDAA Website midaa.org.
- Special considerations will be given to applicants
who are members of the Michigan Dental Assistants Associations.
To Apply:
- A letter from the Dental Assisting Program Director
verifying enrollment (applies only to #1 and #2 above)
- A brief history of the applicant including professional
goals and financial need
- An official student transcript of the most recently
completed college courses. Applicant must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
- Scholarship requests and all pertinent materials
must be mailed to:
