Ona Erdt CDA, R.D.A., BS

MDAA Matrix Coordinator

Ona completed her Dental Assisting training at Washtenaw Community College and her Bachelor Degree in Community Health/Health Sciences from Central Michigan University. She has only been a member of ADAA for 5 years, but has jumped in and assumed the responsibilities of organizing MDAA Seminars for the past 2 years. The Spring 2007 Seminar in Frankenmuth was attended by over 230 participants! Ona has changed gears and is now our Matrix Coordinator and Membership Chairperson!

Ona's family members include her husband, Jay, and "un-human" and furry son Akira. When she gets a break from her Dental Assisting job and MDAA responsibilities, she enjoys scrap booking, writing, and reading. Ona was awarded the Ruth M. Edwards award at the 2008 MDAA House of Delegates. It wasn't easy keeping the award a secret as she was the Awards Chairman!

Her vision for Dental Assistants is to be utilized to the best of our abilities and respected as highly trained professionals. Ona is currently employed at the Veteran's Hospital in Ann Arbor and is honored to serve those who serve our country.
