Officer Spotlight

Paula Frolka R.D.A.

MDAA Educational Chair

Paula attended Macomb Community College and became a student member of ADAA and the Macomb Dental Assistants Society.  She graduated MCCC in 1981 and became a CDA and R.D.A.  She has maintained her R.D.A. since, and last year attained Life Membership in the ADAA.   Paula spent 18 years  working at the multiple locations of Redwood Dental Group as a chairside assistant in general dentistry and as a part of the orthodontic team.  Although Paula has chosen to currently be a stay-at-home mom, don’t let that fool you!  She is very active in volunteer activities.  In addition to serving at the state and local levels previously, she is once again serving MDAA at the state and local levels.  She has also been the elementary school  PTA  Health and Wellness chair the last 2 years, and is the Health Fair program coordinator for Rochester Community Schools PTA Council at the district level.  She also serves as a Brownie and soon-to-be Junior Girl Scout Troop leader for her daughter’s troop.  Cookies anyone??

Paula will be married to Jim for 13 years this June and have a son and daughter.  Erik is excited to be starting 7th grade at the middle school in the fall and Olivia will be starting 5th grade.

In the spare time Paula does have, she enjoys spending time with her family, her morning walking group, gardening, antiquing (ok, junk-tiquing) and decorating projects around the house.
