Officer Spotlight Deborah Spellicy CDA, BS MDAA Educational Chair Michigan Oral Health Coalition Liaison |
Deb has held the offices and positions of MDAA President, Educational Chair, MI Oral Health Coalition Representative, Bylaws Chairperson, and PR Committee to name a few! She graduated from Ferris State University and is employed at Lake Shore High School and Dr. Kerri Gustafson's Pediatric office in Roseville, MI. Deb has been a member of ADAA for over 21 years. She is married to Daniel (29 years) and they have four children: Keanan, 23, twins Kaitlin and Kara, 19, and Christian 17. They also share the Spellicy home with a black lab named Raven. Deb loves children of all ages and dentistry. She believes we need to feel pride in our profession, and pride, families and God are the backbone of a full filling life! Deb's vision for Dental Assistants is that before she retires, Michigan will have mandatory credentialing for dental assistants. When she graduated from FSU in 1980, she thought it would happen shortly - 28 years later, she is still waiting! |
