Dawn has been a member of ADAA for 15 plus years and began her career at Heartlands Vocational Dental Program and continued on to earn a degree in Dental Assisting from Lansing Community College. She took her expanded functions course from Grand Rapids Community College and the N2O update at Mott Community College.

Dawn is employed with Dr. Patrick Schaefer DDS in Lansing, She shares her home with husband, James, daughters Jenasen (9 years) and Keira (21 months) and stepson Mason (22 years).

"I LOVE my profession and the assistants I meet along the way! I strive to educate our younger generation about dental health and it's importance. I knew I wanted to be in the dental field since I was in middle school, and had a wonderful assistant in the office I grew up in! :)

I am inspired by my fellow assistants on a daily basis and I am honored to be an officer. I hope to help the assisting field progress to what it can be in the future!"
