Officer Spotlight

MDAA Immediate Past President

Kristina "Tina" Sprague, CDA, R.D.A. BS

Tina graduated from Washtenaw Community College and is teaching dental assisting at WCC where she has been employed for ten years. She has been a member of ADAA for nine years and is very active in planning and coordinating Washtenaw's annual seminars.

Tina shares her life with her husband Kip and son, Nathan, age 9. Kip has a great sense of humor and helped make the Miss Michigan fund raiser a great success! Nathan led our House of Delegates in the Pledge of Allegiance. In her spare time, she enjoys beading, reading, golf, snowmobiling & traveling . She likes beading so much that she taught MDAA members and guests how to create a beaded bracelet and earrings at Annual Session two years ago. We are reminded of Tina when we wear our bracelets!

Tina's reign as MDAA President included a successful Frankenmuth seminar, a new fundraiser project that included pins and magnets, and an updated Strategic Plan to name a few. Her enthusiasm is evident in everything she does. Tina would like to see that all dental assistants (and their doctors) recognize the need for life long learning and continue in their education in order to seek their R.D.A. (so they can practice legally!)

Thank you Tina for all your hard work as MDAA President!
