MICHIGAN DENTAL ASSISTANTS ASSOCIATION

                Student Ambassador Program

Dear Dental Assisting Program Director and student members of the ADAA,

The Michigan Dental Assistants Association is happy to announce the launch of its Student Ambassador Program. This program offers an opportunity for new student members of the American Dental Assistants Association to attend the MDAA’s House of Delegates at Annual Session and to see what happens first hand as our Association gathers to make decisions regarding the future of dental assisting.

Student Ambassadors:   Must be an ADAA student member

                                               Will be provided special seating in the MDAA House of Delegates

                                                Will be recognized by the MDAA President in the House of Delegates

                                                Will receive a certificate of participation suitable for framing

                                                May have their photo published in the MDAA MATRIX, Website or on Facebook

                                                May report their participation on future resumes as they seek employment

                                                Shall have the opportunity to participate in Association discussions

                                                May attend the President’s Lunch upon paying the luncheon fee of $25

Ambassador Duties:       Must prepare a report for their classmates regarding the MDAA’s meeting

                                                Must register to attend on the enclosed registration form

                                                Must be dressed in business attire

It is our hope that your dental assisting program incorporates and encourages student involvement in our professional organization as a means of enhancing their professionalism.  We look forward to getting to know your students and showing them how our collective efforts can yield great things. Lunch is on their own, however they are invited to register and pay to attend the MDAA President’s luncheon if they wish.

This year’s meeting will be held on Saturday April 16^th beginning at 10:00 AM and students should be prepared to stay until 6:00 PM.   The meeting will be held at the Amway Grand Hotel in Grand Rapids located at 187 Monroe Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 in the Cascade Room on the lower level.  Plan on arriving 15 minutes early to check in and be seated.  If you have any questions regarding this opportunity please feel free to contact Lori Barnhart at (810)515-6317 or via email at SLSBARN@power-net.net  for more information.
